The nearby forest grows supernaturally fast digging into the city itself. Automated drones chop the roots before it can damage infrastructure, though most of the forest was destroyed after it was deemed a hazard to profit and growth, the darkside forest was allowed to exist after it was discovered that a classified herb could potentially enhance/unlock psionic powers in the consumer.
